The strategic use of the inexhaustible resource of natural light allows for better utilization of existing space, enhances the quality of the environment, and creates attractive economic value for residential, commercial, and public buildings.

A custom-made mirror module directs natural sunlight and daylight into the dark basement. This requires an existing basement light well or light shaft into which the Heliobus® Mirror Shaft® is installed.

The walkable light well cover, made of durable laminated safety glass, replaces the traditional grating. The module, which is mirrored on all sides, directs natural light to the basement window, thereby significantly improving the lighting in the room.

A particularly nice bonus is the view to the outside: depending on the building’s layout, you may even have an unobstructed view of the sky. This transforms a dark basement into basement brighter, more welcoming, and more functional space. Installation is usually completed within a few hours.

Thanks to several Mirror shaft®s, Dermapraxis AG in Wädenswil (ZH)can also use the basement as a daylight, fully-fledged practice.
