Heliobus Project Reference
Daylight Engineering
Daylight Engineering is the art of capturing daylight and directing it specifically where there is none or too little. Heliobus has been pioneering the development, planning and implementation of innovative daylight solutions since 1999. We advise and support architects and planners from the idea to the realisation.

Daylight is a basic need

The supply of daylight to interior spaces is becoming increasingly important, not least since the new EU standard EN 17037 came into force in 2019. This means that architects and planners are increasingly faced with the challenge of naturally illuminating "trapped" rooms - on the one hand for an improved sense of well-being or a special lighting aesthetic, and on the other hand to enable economical use of space. Under the service "Daylight Engineering", Heliobus combines its know-how and experience in the planning and development of daylight solutions and offers these to architects and planners as a consulting service.

As a leading system provider, Heliobus has comprehensive engineering know-how, years of experience and worldwide patents. With passion, our engineers and designers implement the most demanding wishes in a customer-, solution- and future-oriented way.

You are in good hands with our daylight experts

Heliobus The Daylight Company
Dr. sc. techn. Miroslav Fabian
CEO Heliobus AG

Mr. Fabian completed his PhD in daylighting in Kyoto and Bratislava. He worked on various research projects and planned the daylighting of large buildings in Germany and Austria. He was also involved in the development of the EU standard for indoor daylighting. Heliobus AG has been able to count on his expertise since 2017.

Heliobus The Daylight Company
Rudolf Signer
Founder & CEO Heliobus AG

The energy and civil engineer recognized the need for room-optimizing daylight systems early on. In a pilot project in 1996, he implemented a daylight control system in a school building in St. Gallen for the first time - his initial experience in this fascinating and meaningful niche of engineering. In 1999, he pursued this path further and founded Heliobus AG.

Idea & Feasibility Studies

Everything starts with an idea. We test ideas and concepts for daylight solutions, daylight design for feasibility. Heliobus supports planners in the first phase of development for individual daylight solutions.
