Plenty of natural light for a living room in the basement: Two Heliobus® Mirror Shafts® channel sunlight and daylight deep into the room, creating a bright, welcoming atmosphere that noticeably enhances the quality of life.

Depending on the position of the sun, fascinating patterns of light are created in the room. Instead of looking at a traditional basement wall, the view opens up to the outside—ideally, even directly to the sky. For this project, the client requested full-surface slip resistance for the walkable skylight. This enhances safety in the outdoor area while maintaining the natural light in the room below. However, this design restricts the unobstructed view of the mirror module or the sky.

The basement of these exclusive houses in Ascona has been completely converted into living space. With the Mirror shaft® from Heliobus®, the rooms are illuminated with real daylight and thus offer a very pleasant living atmosphere.
