What St. Gallen expects pedestrians and cyclists to do when crossing St.-Leonhard-Strasse between the Reithalle, the St. Leonhard office building and the Lokremise does not really have anything to do with promoting non-motorised traffic. On the contrary: the road has to be crossed in four attempts. Each section is controlled by a traffic light. These are only partially coordinated, and at one of them you even have to press a button to make it change from red to green.
