Tageslicht ist ein Grundbedürfnis
Natürliches Tageslicht prägt, wie wir Räume wahrnehmen, nutzen und erleben. Es verbessert die Aufenthaltsqualität, unterstützt das Wohlbefinden und macht Innenräume heller, freundlicher und funktionaler. Besonders in Untergeschossen, innenliegenden Bereichen oder sogenannten «gefangenen» Räumen wird die gezielte Versorgung mit Tageslicht deshalb zunehmend wichtiger.
Seit der Einführung der europäischen Norm EN 17037 gewinnt Tageslicht auch in der Architektur- und Lichtplanung zusätzlich an Bedeutung. Architektinnen, Architekten sowie Planerinnen und Planer stehen dadurch vermehrt vor der Aufgabe, natürliche Lichtquellen sinnvoll in Gebäude zu integrieren – nicht nur aus gestalterischen Gründen, sondern auch im Hinblick auf Raumqualität, Nutzbarkeit, Energieeffizienz und wirtschaftliche Flächenoptimierung.
Mit dem Service «Daylight Engineering» unterstützt Heliobus® Fachplaner, Architekturbüros, Bauherrschaften und Immobilienentwickler bei der Planung und Entwicklung massgeschneiderter Tageslichtlösungen. Ziel ist es, natürliches Licht gezielt dorthin zu bringen, wo klassische Fensterlösungen an bauliche Grenzen stossen – in Untergeschosse, innenliegende Räume, Erschliessungszonen oder komplexe Gebäudestrukturen.

Herr Fabian absolvierte sein PhD in Tageslicht in Kyoto und Bratislava. Arbeitete in verschiedensten Forschungsprojekten und plante die Tageslichtversorgung von grösseren Bauten in Deutschland und Österreich. Auch war er an der Ausarbeitung der EU-Norm für Tageslicht in Innenräumen beteiligt. Seit 2017 darf die Heliobus AG auf seine Expertise zählen.

Früh erkannte der Energie- und Bauingenieur den Bedarf an raumoptimierenden Tageslichtsystemen. In einem Pilotprojekt setzte er 1996 erstmals ein Tageslichtleitsystem in einem Schulhaus in St. Gallen um – für ihn die initiale Erfahrung in dieser faszinierenden und sinnstiftenden Nische des Ingenieurwesens. Worauf er im Jahr 1999 diesen Weg weiterverfolgte und die Heliobus AG gründete.
