Once upon a time, glass blocks—today, walkable Glassfloor®

At the Waldmannstrasse school building, existing glass blocks were replaced with six custom-made, walk-on Glassfloor® skylights (each measuring 3x3m) from Heliobus®. The result: significantly more natural light, a more pleasant indoor atmosphere, and bright, daylight-filled classrooms and workspaces in the basement.

Especially for the visual arts curriculum, natural light creates a noticeably better atmosphere—in classrooms, art studios, and specialized rooms for photo labs, digital image processing, and lesson preparation.

Before-and-after comparison of a patio renovation featuring walk-on Glassfloor® panels from Heliobus® to bring more natural light into the basement and create a high-quality outdoor space.
